Bus Tokens and Burgers

Just call me Alexander. Today has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. For the first time in my life, I got to hire a cleaning service. I envisioned a fresh, lemony smelling, sparkling house. Instead, I sent two people home and cried. I should have known not to hire maids off of craiglist. I'm now in the process of desanitizing my house because I really think they came with one rag and cleaned my kitchen cabinets after my toilets. Ugh. The thought makes me want to yak.

Oh, it gets better. We had the joy of unloading PODS today. Luckily, my family came through and we did it in record time. We are pros at moving, so that was no surprise. In the middle of the chaos, my kids were playing with their new neighborhood friend. She's the cutest little thing and my kids were well on their way to having a new B-F-F... until my son accidentally smashed her finger in the front door. We're not talking about a little boo-boo- We're talking about a whole fingernail that came off and blood. Parents always love doctor's visits on a beautiful Sunday. I freaked and we ran to get her parents and off to urgent care they went.

Welcome to the neighborhood. We are the crazy family. First impressions are great.

Luckily, we are happy to report we have super cool neighbors. When we took over a care package, the Dad just politely told us that I'm sure his kid will break our kids arm at some point in time. Thank you Jesus.:)

It's still been a horrible day. Can you tell I'm stressed? Instead of bus tokens, I'm off to have a burger. I'll be on my quest to become a knockout tomorrow. It will just have to wait a day.

  1. OMG - I feel terrible about that cleaning incident and the finger. Dang it. Here's hoping your weeks gets less stressful.
